Boston’s Very own legend of Hip Hop Edo G performed along side Masta Ace  at Harpers Ferry this past Friday. Edo banging out all his hits like: “Be a Father to your child” “I got to have it” and “Wishing (feat Masta Ace)” a song that appeared on a Boondocks episode.

From Pics and comments on Edo’s facebook page, real hip fans came out to support and had a great time. When these two legends are in the building the fans come out  the wood works to see them. Edo G has a large Fan base in Boston and internationally and his shows are always sold out.

Now Hosting “Take it to the streets” with The Chief Rocka Moe D on Hot97boston.com where they do a show catering to local Boston artist and local talent.

I don’t do these things on purpose. I do try to find you people as much entertainment as possible, but sometimes people make it so hard for me. I try to be nice, but sometimes i get a little pissed off when i try to support something and i only find ONE DAMN PICTURE!!! ONE PICTURE #comonson… i guess the fact that Rondo was there was good enough. I didn’t go to the event because it was on a work night and I’m too old to go out on the weeknight. that’s a lie but non the less from the looks of the other pics it was a good night

update: I was informed that management for Rajon Rondo didn’t allow the photographers to snap pics of Rondo, so this ONE PIC is the diamond in the rough.

Since American Idol started 87 years ago, many American idol style competitions have popped up over the years. Including Kingston, Jamaica. In 2007 a 17 year old boy that goes by the name Romain Virgo won that competition, and Boston had the pleasure of welcoming him to Massachusetts. Now 20 years old Virgo has the soul of legendary lovers rock reggae artist, and a strong and powerful voice to back it up.

Hot97Boston hosted Romain Virgo and had him perform at The Roxy Red Room in the theater district. The show was nice, and Virgo did his thing. The Crowd thoroughly enjoyed him as he sang to the ladies and wasn’t afraid to leave the stage to serenade and get mobbed by badly dressed groupies on the dance floor. Virgo has a long journey ahead of him and from all the love and support he is receiving all over the world he’ll do just fine.

For the past 3 Years give or take…. Dancehall Sensation/DJ Tony Matterhorn has been hosting One of his many birthday parties in Boston. This year it was held at Russell Auditorium. I heard the turn out was great as usual. The Ladies came out in full costume and the men ironed out their tightest jeans. American record producer, multi-instrumentalist, rapper, entrepreneur, and singer (wiki.com) Ryan Leslie passed through Boston Last Friday. While here he did a little hosting and Album promotion at Mantra Night Club in Downtown Boston. Through out the night he had a few album give-aways of his debut CD self-entitled “Ryan Leslie.” His Album hit the market in February and seems to be doing pretty well.

Last week Thursday 3/11 Boston Opened up it’s New “Pandora Thursdays” Night at Felt Night Club. To Kick off the grown and sexy night, Rosa Acosta Hip Hop Video Model Hosted. You might remember Rosa from videos like ummmm I actually don’t know what videos she is in… *shuggs shoulders” Anyways she hosted the event, and posed for pics with the party goers (she’s HOTT) I heard it was a great event. People who attended ranted and raved about it a whole one day later.

Rosa wasn’t the only celebrity at the party… “Never leave me” Singer Lumidee also came through to show some love to “Felt Boston” Since her famous song that included the catching lyrics “OOOOOHHooooohhhh” Lumidee has lost tons of weight and looks really good. She has a new song out “End of Time” that is smashing the airs waves. I wish her all the luck

Oh Lawd, Listening to these two, I couldn’t figure out weather or not it was appropriate to be laughing. My heart was torn between doing the right thing and thinking logically. No doubt about it, Gabby is BIG, I mean she is really Big… but I do NOT believe that her career is over. I DO believe that she will some how be type caste to play that “fat girl” in any role that she gets. They say that she has a couple of movies lined up now. So she isn’t done. This is some Funny stuff

When Kanye basically ripped the self esteem and grammy out of Taylor Swift’s hand we heard it all over the world. Twitter went ape shit, Facebook had to shut down for 3 minutes because status msgs were Out of Order (I made that one up) and my phone didn’t stop ringing from people asking me if I i just saw that Nigga Kanye did on Stage. Some laughed some cried, and Obama called him a Jack ass. I merely rolled my eyes and said Kanye strikes again (then I blogged about it)

In this turn of events… The Kanye of The Oscars some lady named Elinor Burkett who actually did win the Oscar KANYED her co-producer Roger Ross Williams (who also won) when she stole the spot light away from him in the middle of his speech. (see video above) I guess what had happened was: They worked on the movie “Music by Prudence” together and had a lot of differences of opinions on the direction they wanted the film to go in. A year before the movie was finished Elinor decided to remove herself from the project. So………. fast forward to The 2010 Oscars. As Williams went on stage to accept the award, a few minutes later Elinor waddles up to the stage and grabs the mics spits on him (I made that part up) and proceeds to give her own acceptance speech. It was a great way to bring some LIFE and Juice to the otherwise boring as hell Oscars. It was a little different then The West/Swift moment but Williams def got KANYED

I don’t know why I added this picture but I felt that somehow it related to my life. I feel like I’m the BODY of this small solider who decided to take the world upon his frame, and carry the burden of many men woman and children through the screaming frenzy of a small hungry crowd. Yes I do understand that I used a lot of words just now, but at the same time I’m almost positive that many of you know exactly what I’m talking about.

I have not blogged for a while because celebrity gossip started to bore me, I no longer found interest in why Usher remains in the closet and tries to disguise his gayness by continuously breeding his man of a wife. I no longer cared that will and Jada only got married because he thinks he is a woman and she things that she is a man, and the only way for them to protect their image was to play a game of dress up and pretend that their lives were normal. I still believe that their children are spoiled brats on the path to self destruction. hmmmm… what else didn’t i care about, I didn’t care that Lil Kim melts in direct sunlight, and that teen celebrity pregnancy was the new “Pink”. I was completely uninterested in…ummm pretty much everything that had to do with celebritism, because i realized that no matter how often i spoke of them and how funny my jabs were of them….they were still richer then i would ever be, and their lives are just as f*cked up as everyone else’s but as the end of the day they all could go out buy a $750K gold chain with a diamond encrusted portrait of a crayon box to hang from it, while I struggle to find 75 cents to put air in my left rare tire.

So I have decided to turn my blog around and start talking about real life things, the real life foolishness that surrounds me and your everyday lives. I’m not sure how i will do that but i hope you all stay tuned to find out. Rest assured that I will include some A-list gossip every now and them but the main focus of TNHOTT blog will no longer be about the people I would not recognized if they passed me in the street wearing a sign saying “I AM A CELEBRITY”.

Rapper Lil Romeo has passed up a starring role in new movie “Sweetwater,” so he doesn’t lose his college basketball eligibility. The son of music mogul Percy “Master P” Miller, Romeo Miller, this year begins playing for the University of Southern California, where he’ll have to abide by strict college athlete rules.

The school’s directives require that the 18-year-old has to be a full-time student and can not accept hand-outs or cash favours from potential sponsors, agents or professionals. In “Sweetwater” Miller was set to portray the first African American player signed by America’s National Basketball Association, according the WENN News.

“Romeo has agreed to abide by all NCAA regulations, but I think a lot of their rules will need to be updated to take into account a person of his magnitude and his past accomplishments,” the rapper’s father said.

“I couldn’t be more proud of my son’s decision to choose education and athletics over money. Being a student athlete takes a lot of hard work and discipline.”

Lil’ Romeo says that Master P – his dad – always insisting that he learn as well as play in school: “Being raised in poverty-stricken New Orleans, I know first hand what it’s like to have nothing, and to see what my dad has done with his education, goals, and opportunities has really opened my eyes.

“Now I’m grown up and I’m setting my own goals and with the right education, I know there’s no limit.”

This is the reason WHY i will fill my gas tank with gas and drive 3 days to USC so that i can be his college sweetheart, have his baby, and live happily ever after as a Miller. I commend him as a celebrity and Man because he’s not all into the hoopla of just making money and buying dumb sh!t and sleeping with video hoes just to look like “he got it like that”. This young man understands the importance of a education and working hard for what he has. Maybe if little Bow Wow had done something other then running his mouth all the time he wouldn’t be always getting accused of being a lil fag, but than again not everyone is that bright. I’m really proud of Romeo for thinking with his head and taking time to be a young adult first…he has time and I’m confident that he will make it very far in this world and go on to do great things.
